Recycling Project

CLONMEL -- Both Tom Heffernan and Eanna McAteer are doing multimedia projects related to recycling. Part of the project will result in a stream of information about reusing paper products.

  • Recycling paper uses 60% less energy than manufacturing paper from virgin timber.
  • One tonne of recycled paper saves enough energy to power the average home for six months.
  • Some recycling-friendly practises are part of the third level multimedia programme including printing on both sides of lecture notes, sharing newspapers and writing throughout the wireless journals instead of using fresh reams of paper.
