CrystalTech bought out

CRYSTAL TECH -- I have been well-served by a knowledgeable and professional staff at CrystalTech, benefiting from faster turn-around on my questions than from any other Internet vendor. CrystalTech offered a public forum well before any other ISP where both current customers as well as potential customers can freely ask questions, seek information and exchange problems and solutions to those problems. CrystalTech keeps customersnd services further keeping customers "in the loop" as changes occur.

So when I heard that Newtek Business Services were aquiring CrystalTech, I got concerned.

Importantly, the executive staff remains att CrystalTech, as well as the entire CrystalTech staff. According to a statement from the CEO, "CrystalTech will operate as what amounts to an individual unit within Newtek, keeping everything, from our management and staff to the majority of our policies and procedures in place."

Newtek is a public company specializing in products and services for small to medium sized enterprises, providing everything from small business loans to tax and merchant services.

This does not smell like a run-of-the-mill acquisition. It looks like Newtek will let CrystalTech be. Plus, Newtek has capabilities to offer small business loans, financial services and low-cost payment gateways. I'm staying with Crystal Tech.
