Sony MP3

CNET -- Doc Searls spotted this: Sony is adding MP3 support to its handheld audio devices.

Sony's revision of its MP3 strategy comes ahead of Christmas but way behind the market-beating iPod performance. Competition is white-hot in the portable digital music market. Sony feels this and will not be marginalised by the mood of the street people. When Sony tacks on MP3 playbacks, the online music world will reach a higher place.
