Goodbye Abba Pater Bishop of Krakow

WHILE MOST PEOPLE remember Karol Jozef Wojtyla as Pope John Paul II, I will never forget his ascendacy to the Vatican as the Bishop of Krakow. His efforts helped bring down Communism. He worked towards reconciliation with the Jews. He never asked for advice from pollsters. He followed a consistent path, one that infuriated many women. He consistently delivered a message of peace, love and reconciliation. A man of faith, his words resonate with me, ringing as clear as the day I first heard him recite Pater Noster (Our Father). May he rest in peace.
