Clueless Comedy Central

IN A TOTALLY clueless move, Comedy Central have served take-down requests to YouTube. This kind of slavish attention to copyright attorneys made sense in an unwired era. Today, millions of Comedy Central fans came to the network production through the internet, not the other way around. The network today is the internet, not the broadcast transmitters. Surely Comedy Central understands that fact.

Or, could it be a reflection of the mindset of some Sony executives who once told a Microsoft meeting that they might not be able to stop progress but they could certainly slow it down.
