WHILE OUT FEEDING the ducks, we recorded some Qik thoughts about the Irish downturn, including some items from the Sunday Business Post (SBP) that will prove helpful in ducking the downturn. Although many Irish Sunday papers lead with more coverage of Dell leaving Limerick, I think an important back story is absent from coverage. Many editors fail to point to the start-up culture engendered by large businesses and that's true in Dell's case as well. I believe a nascent entrepreneurial culture sits in the remnants of Dell's closure and it's good to see the Sunday Business Post spotlighting Irish start-ups that are making a difference.
