I THINK PEOPLE need to be aware of their clickstreams as well as the geolocations that they may be sharing to the world so I occasionally ask my Lumia its IP afdress (see screenshot).
I like seeing the address appear 50 or more miles away when I connect to some free wifi nodes while underway in Ireland.
Some very knowledgeable people I follow get all wound up when social services leverage these data to deliver hyperlocal results. But these same people don't seem to worry how Apple is doing this behind the scenes (default location settig on iOS7) or how their mobile phone provider keeps this data to hand for access by law enforcement agencies.
