This is a powerful storage and back-up device. It is clever enough to act as the single reference point for me on the road with my mobile phone. It is Dropbox and Evernote in one eight terabyte lump. It has dual gigabit ethernet ports, which increases its connectivity options and internet performance. You can run Microsoft Windows server on it. You can hook network cameras to it. You can stick a USB memory key into it and copy back and forth. And it doesn't sound like a jet taking off.
