During the British International Motor Show in London, the NICE Car Company is showing its new Italian-styled, two-seat electric car. Styled by Giugiaro of Italdesign, it runs exclusively on electricity, tops out at 40 mph, can run no more than 40 miles on a single charge. Promotional brochures say it's possible to run this little car for as little as three euro cents per mile. However, you need at least six hours of recharging on mains power to recharge MyCar's battery packs.
Options for the MyCar include seven colour choices, 15-inch alloy wheels, a glass or removable fibreglass roof, a leather interior, and heated seats.
Someone purchasing the standard MyCar in Ireland would spend at least €12,000, thanks to the 21% sales tax and vehicle registration tax.
