Canyon Portable Hard Drive

When our five-year-old Fujitsu Siemens W2K workstation experienced three material failures, we pulled its hard drive and rehoused it in a 3.5" aluminum case from Canyon. Now we can view our old desktop over USB 2.0 in a plug-and-play way. This little number cost €32 in Clonmel, County Tipperary, Ireland. It works with OS 8.6 and above and is compatible with everything from W98 upwards. It comes with a 30W external power supply (DC out 5V 1.5A/12V 1.8A) to spin the hard disk. There's backup software included but we haven't tried that yet.
