One of the most important things a curator can do is to extend the vision of the artist. Mike Fitzpatrick, director of the Limerick City Gallery, explained this point to a group of 20 artists, curators and critics assembled in Studio Six in Temple Bar, Ireland. He talked to the group as part of the MAVIS programme and fielded 30 minutes of questions while showing how he manages one of Ireland's most successful galleries.
