FLICKR -- Flickr just gave the world another reason to check out its photo management service. It blends social networking and community chat with Creative Commons licensing. This means you can choose a license for your photos. This comes on top of being able to post from Flickr to Typepad.
I think it's wonderful--flickr integrates photos into your chat so that you can drop photos into a chat room from your shoebox and copy photos into your shoebox from a conversation. This adds another way for people to comment on the photos. Joi Ito thinks it's "probably the best integration of photos in conversation that I've ever seen." I've just started my Flickr shoebox. They are never going to be in the class of Eliot Shepard, Laura Holder, or Jake Dobkin.
