MOODLE -- The first Irish Moodle Moot happens on Friday, 10 September 2004, on the Dublin City University campus. It's an event hosted by DCU and assisted by both Tipperary Instituteand the Irish Learning Technology Association (ILTA). This is a fast-track event provided tips and tricks for those interested in Open Source Software for education.
It's free, kicking off at 1000 with coffee-laced registration. At 1030, the DCU team explains how they are "building learning innovation through through Moodle." John Jennings and I present "From paper to pixel: Setting up a course with Moodle" at 1130. There's a lunch served in the foyer at 1230 and then a teleconference with Martin Dougiamas facilitated by Brian Mulligan (ILTA) at 1330. A roundtable discussion features at 1530.
As is the case in all Irish events, social activities feature during the Thursday and Friday evenings. We may bring a gaggle of student Moodlers to The Big Smoke for the Friday craic.
