KILKENNY -- I think all cars should have simple support for personal electronics devices often carried into the cars. We used a reliable Dodge Sebring for 12 days on a rip through the desert southwest in the US and after the dust cleared, I wish it had some easy-to-offer features in the dashboard.
- A mini-jack that accepted tunes from my iPod, Sony Clie and MiniDisc recorder.
- Bluetooth connectivity to mobile phonebooks.
- Programmable GPS.
On second thought, I was happy to have a quiet, air-conditioned car that performed well, came with unlimited miles, and ran economically. Having quiet space meant hours of pleasant conversation. That alone filled the trip with quality moments.
