AN EMBARGO SYSTEM often updates my weblogs. For example, content will automatically appear on this blog just after midnight on both Friday and Saturday mornings. What happens next humours me--I will get a phone call from someone who know a new post means I am awake. I won't answer the call because it comes as a relay from Skype and I have to pay for those calls. Nor will the caller leave a message with the O2 Personal Assistant. Months ago, I wondered who those callers were. My Skype voice mail gives me a clue because many of the Skype IDs resolve into Nigerian namespace. Answering the call often means listening to an offer to buy 10 Nokia 9500 phones. It's amazing how technology connects people, isn't it?
