THE BACK DOORS of my blog sites tell me interesting things. Back doors are comments, referrers and trackbacks. Today, while looking at trackback spammers who find my post about ethanol for cars interesting, I also watch referrers trickling into a podcast with the same interest. One listener made an audio comment worth repeating.
"In the US, the new cars I'm looking at buying all have warranties that cover 10% ethanol use." Seen alongside feedback from my motorhead American friends, it seems you can tank up with Tesco ethanol without encountering any negative side effects. That's progress. It would be nice to know that the Irish farming sector is producing ethanol from wheat straw and that entrepreneurs are considering construction of facilities to produce cellulosic ethanol in Ireland. We need some measure of energy independence because we're certainly not throttling back the travel distances.
Podcasting.ie where "News inside and outside" includes alternative energy at 20:10 into the show.
