DURING THE PAST MONTH, I have asked Google to purge specific items from its cache. This is something that you may need to do too, if a Googlebot gets inside your firewall and leaves with stuff it should never have found. Google deletes pages from its cache if it gets a 404 from the URL. If you need to have something pulled quickly from Google's cache, go to Google services (URL below the line) here and wait five days.
According to the University Security Operations Group and the spring issue of 2600, this site also has information on how to use meta tags to control what Google indexes.
