PEOPLE COME HERE looking for information on DIY stun guns. Diggers have hit my blog with stories about stun gloves and stun vests. Their vists have suggested a way that Google keeps my stupid single page about stun guns relatively high in the search engine results. I think Google incorporates traffic patterns into their results algorithm.
They're discussing this issue at WebmasterWorld. What's intriguing to me is how the Google Toolbar collects and distills information for the search engine results. I know for a fact that there's a positive relationship between high placement, frequent comments, republished blog pages and Googlebot visitation. The more a highly ranked page is republished, the more likely it will keep its high placement. The stun gun crowd continues to demonstrate that to me.
