MARYROSE LYONS asks me to share info about political commentary sites I read. She sent a direct email because I've locked down comments on this blog in so many ways because bad spam days sometimes mean more than 100 unwanted comments. As far as I know, I haven't blocked any Irish IPs but that's another topic. On political sites, I have several places where I graze. Those places may change since my reading patterns change from month to month.
I listen to Senator Joe O'Toole because he's easy on the ears and a polite critic with considered substance.
I comment regularly and trackback often to Damien Blake's musings.
I read IrishElection.com, Damien Blake, Dominic Hannigan, Ciaran Cuffe and Sean O hArgain's blog through my desktop aggregator.
I read The Daily Kos through my FreeNews client on my phone. It's a river of political news with extremely left-wing US commentary.
The most articulate TD who has offered first-person commentary to me and my students is Deputy John McGuinness in Kilkenny. I cannot fathom why he remains relegated to the back benches. I wish he was involved in Irish social media.
Damien Mulley (should fix his blogroll link to M.Poulet) and Suzie Byrne would probably have more to add to this list. Start here.
