TRANSITION YEAR students (in picture) on a week-long Schoolworks module in Tipperary Institute took their question about broadband [1.2 MB 96 kbps MP3 file] to an international audience when they asked Shel Holtz and Neville Hobson for suggestions about making their lack of broadband access a question for the national election. Half of the students attending the week-long web training course cannot access broadband at home. This means they are unable to hear the audio work they create in the classroom unless they download and carry away their clips. Their broadband question appeared on today's For Immediate Release (episode 224) and it would seem a few readers here might have suggestions for the international listeners.
