RICHARD WALLACE KLAU died tonight. With his passing, grandson Rick Klau remembers the favourite song of his grandparents. The song, I’ll See You in My Dreams, is a popular track from the 1920s. Rick writes, "Grandpa told me that every night before going to bed, he would say 'I’ll see you in my dreams' to Grandma, and I have to imagine that not hearing it tonight is absolutely brutal for Grandma".
I’ll see you in my dreams, Hold you in my dreams;
Someone took you out of my arms, Still I feel the thrill of your charms!
The English singer Joe Brown performed a version of the song on the ukulele [2.9 MB 192 kbps MP3 file] as the finale of the George Harrison tribute concert, Concert For George, in 2002.
