ANOTHER YEAR PASSES with a big deal--a new arrival. And today, those who know my actual age, know my birthday is divisible only by one. Indivisible years remind me of Michael Jordan. He wore #23 and as everyone who watched him play knows, you couldn't cut Mike into many pieces. I'm happy for the day to slip away without being noticed and because I posted this item more than a week later, I know that only a few people spotted my birthday on the day. Surprisingly, I got most of my birthday greetings from Facebook. I was going to put a bogus birthday in Facebook but since birthdays are actually social objects in Facebook, I didn't want to abuse trust among the Facebook community. I always use birthdays of friends when signing up for services because if those services push out a birthday greeting, I'll receive a reminder of a birthday card I should purchase. All my mobile phone accounts do this for me--they think they are wishing me "Happy Birthday" but they are actually sending me a reminder of an important family event. Anyway, my day is well done and dusted, meaning I have reverted into my divisible self.
