I OFTEN HESITATE to write about where I have been because it bothers me to realise I haven't returned to places where I promised friends I would serve as their tour guide. So on the 30th anniversary of a deep blue Christmas, I remember looking out of a high altitude cockpit at a scene not unlike the one below, amused at the swirling blue currents lapping at the shoreline of a South Pacific Island.
