I LOST
HUFFDUFFER sometime during the last academic year, so I'm happy to report I'm back using the service as my number one podcatcher on
my Nokia E90. I've got a lot of other podcatching options but with Huffduffer in my browser, I can right-click and snip audio files in one easy step. Then when I sync my iPod or the podcast directory on my mobile phone, the stuff that I want at the top of my listening list percolates nicely into my earbuds. There's a very compelling social dimension as well, because like
Delicious links, I can see the audio collections that others online want to share. This is exceptionally helpful when trying to follow tagged content like urban, convergence, listening, and creativity. All those terms feature in
Tipperary Institute creative tutorials and by following students who gather their content via Huffduffer, I can often gather enhancements to the way I teach. I've rediscovered some lost audio gems with Huffduffer and I believe its tag cloud of content is the closest thing I've seen to finding TED as an audio feed. As you might guess, I'm
topgold on Huffduffer.
