EVERY SUMMER, I MAKE a solemn promise that I'll clean off the top of desk and leave enough room to drop all my bags in the empty space on top of my workspace. This is my tenth year starting a new academic year and as the video (above) shows, I'm already a failure in the "clean desktop" category.
