LOGITECH'S HD WEBCAM can double as a simple handheld visualiser. I'm starting to use my HD webcam as a handheld scanner, then push some of the snaps into Evernote where they're given OCR treatment. This means my work journals are fully searchable on my iPod Touch. I got my Logitech C910 HD webcam for less than the EUR 90 that it normally costs online. It's one of my favourite pieces of technology.
