ONE YEAR AGO, I started making daily contributions to Audiomo, a self-organising campaign involving commitments from people to share a few minute of audio every day in November. I'm trying it again.
Our three-year-old daughter discovered her voice would fit inside a mobile phone during Audiomo11 (see the image on my blog post). I discovered some interesting people who were open to sharing ambient intimacy last year and some of those people continued listening, watching and reading bytes of my world through the months. I'm also listening to a cluster of Brits who played parts in Audiomo 2011 and I feel a little bit like an eavesdropper because they don't listen to my babblings. But that's not the point. The point is social audio--sharing soundscapes and ideas and points on a soundmap. This year, I might succeed in getting one of our Web Promotion for Business graduates on board to share thoughts to. Simple ambient audio is fine. To hear my stuff as it automagically drops onto your mobile phone, just subscribe to Topgold on Audioboo. And it would be lovely to hear and read comments along the way in the Audiomo community on Audioboo.
