WE OBSERVED A significant milestone last month in terms of child development--climbing stairs.
Most days start with Dylan climbing 15 stairs then accelerating in a crawl that finishes among the special toys and stuffed animals that his big sister has collected over the years.
I think it's important to observe little milestones like this one because they mark little victories worth sharing with extended family who follow my blog exclusively for these kinds of news items.
It is for those family connections that I snap and upload to Flickr or YouTube, that I record and save clips to Audioboo and that I import media text to Twitter and Facebook. It is all part of media creation process that includes few rabbit holes to distract me from the core archives that I've nurtured since 2004. Keeping that focus by publishing and then curating content into trusted channels has helped curb my webmentia. I'm thinking about bottling and sharing my social sharing tactics during the #audiomo project on Audioboo.fm this month.
Note to self: The more personal milestones get logged on my blog, the greater likelihood my blog will live beyond me.
