BEFORE SETTING OUT on a short Christmas shopping expedition, I had a short chat with Treasa Lynch about the perfect pencil. She persuaded me to try Faber-Castell's Polychromos Pencils.
We normally spend part of the Christmas shopping season restocking our Derwent pencils but this year we experimented with polychromos pencils on watercolour paper and opted for a more vivid range of colour.
We headed to the Jervis Centre in Dublin mainly because they have the city's best "Father and Son" toilets in town. After I checked into Jervis, a pop-up tip told me about ArtNHobby upstairs, the shop Treasa recommended. I often post ideas on Foursquare about stationery, pens, pencils and paper.
Now we're trying to locate fine paper stock to accompany our Christmas cards this year. If you fancy an illuminated card, please leave your details in the comments.
