We went to the Titanic Experience in Cobh, Ireland on a wet Sunday 12th August. Cobh is where some of my ancestors sailed from Ireland to New York in the 19th century. They were the McAuliffes and the McKelveys who settled in Pennsylvnia.
We got White Star Line tickets with names of passengers that were on the Titanic.
Then we went on a tour of the museum and learned about the Titanic. I also discovered I would have survived the sinking of the Titanic if I was a passenger named Lillian Minahan who traveled in first class.
I liked walking through the exhibits and sitting in third class and in a life boat. My dad recorded some of this on YouTube. It was also fun talking about the Titanic with my cousins who were visiting from America. They live in Oregon. We're sharing an online photo album about our ancestry.
