We opened one of our Christmas presents early and discovered the 9" Igeress LCD tablet's writing surface is more useful than an iPad for our 7yo. And it costs 3% of the value of the iPad Mini 4 that it complements. You can buy it for 15 euro on Amazon (affiliate link).
The Igeress nine inch LCD tablet has become the favourite writing surface for 7yo Dylan. He is using it more than his copy books.
The Igeress LCD writing tablet uses no paper, costs less than three Happy Meals, feels natural when using its simple plastic stylus, and proved exceptionally easy to use for our 7yo creative.
The case and LCD are made from durable plastic materials and the plastic is stiff which means it probably recycles. It's powered by one of the flat batteries we have in a battery box. According to the specifications, each battery powers the tablet for 50000 times. Power is used when you clean the page.
The biggest positive factor about using the Igeress tablet is Dylan enjoys writing his responses to his spelling exercises on it. The thick stylus is easier for him to use than the S-pen on my Samsung Note 9 and he gets great joy in erasing his work between prompts.
The little tablet is lighter than our iPad Mini, thin but rigid enough to withstand him sitting on it, and a perfect form factor to keep our primary school student occupied while he sits on the sidelines in meetings.
Did I mention that Dylan loves how all his work wipes away with the press of a single button? We will share more of Dylan's hands-on experience with a video after he has bashed the Igeress tablet for a week.
