I'M WORKING WITH the youngest members of Ireland's Youth Media Team during part of the Christmas Break 2018 and laying down the workflow for production of the next 90 episodes of Congversations from Ireland. I've made a short eight minute clip that breaks down the process.
Initial State of Congversations
Dylan (7) helped me with a tick-off list shown in the above image and in the video clip below. It's a process very similar to the one used by YMT.fm as they support events around Ireland.
After 10 episodes in one month, I validated something I knew from previous work. People don't often listen to audio content that stretches beyond 30 minutes. In my case, it appears the average person listens to 23% of each congversation. The clips published to YouTube are rarely longer than four minutes and Google Analytics says the average person watches 50% of each clip. There's a Congversation Playlist that you can set up as a subscription if you're interested in getting pithy content. I also suggest you subscribe to the Congversation podcast and help its distribution by reviewing it in iTunes. For the record, in mid-December 2018, the most popular Congversation episode featured @magsamond (seen in the slideshow below).
As explained in the Congversation 10 podcast, people who view Congversations in a web browser or through the Spreaker app will see cover art pertaining to specific sections. This is what appears when you play the content through the player directly below.
