WITH CHRISTMAS APPROACHING, we are planning several rail journeys into Waterford where we will browse The Book Centre. We need pencils for notes to Santa, coffee because that's what you have with brownies, and we want to get lost in the book shelves. I'm reminded of all these things after seeing Dermot Nolan return from a recent trip (see photo).
Dozens of people have left tips on Google Maps about The Book Centre in Waterford. Even when the shop was closed during COVID, we told Twitter that the Book Centre had a lively click and collect service running at its front door. However, there's something magical about going inside and that's what we'll do several times during the next six weeks.
