ALONG WITH SEVERAL creative students on the Clonmel Digital Campus, I'm watching local radio take a more prominent role in producing and sharing Tipperary News. A lot of credit goes to Tipp Today with Fran Curry, the award-winning broadcaster.
As Keane Ip, a creative media and design student explains on LinkedIn, "developed a workflow to support the three hour long Tipp Today show. Recordings went from the studio to the Otter.ai website where they quickly produced transcripts" on Keane's laptop.
During his internship with TippFM, Keane reported, "It was amazing to see voices matched to different parts of the transcript. It seemed that Otter knew the host's voice by name without me telling Otter who was speaking".
Props to Simon Lau and the Otter team for creating an incredible live transcription service.
