BECAUSE SPOTIFY SERVES ME the 90s or K-pop instead of the music rut I want to occupy, I've finally decided to pay for a family membership so I can control my listening pattern. I prefer podcasts on Spotify instead of my 13yo's tracks.
Then go to spotify.com/family. Alternatively, you can click the arrow button beside your username to reveal the dropdown menu and click Account. From the account overview page, click Premium for Family in the left sidebar.
I clicked "Get Started" and accepted the fact that I had to pay an additional six euro a month for the five other people in our household. My daughter can invite other people to our Spotify Family account if those invited can type in our home address.
I haven't found an easy way to revoke someone's access to our Spotify Family account. It looks like I need to invite someone new or generate a new invitation link. Doing that will kick the selected user off the family account and revoke their access to Spotify Premium. I'm saving that tactic for kids who misbehave.
