AS THE IRISH GOVERNMENT mulls over options to control an unexpected fourth wave of COVID-19, I'm auditing the technology I use that enables me to work from home. Near the top of the list is Microsoft Teams because of its ability to manage both large groups and private meetings.

I join the Teams sessions with two devices. I use the very good camera and on-board microphone of a Surface Book alongside a Samsung Note with the Teams Chat open for viewing. I've discovered that 10% of students on Teams meetings cannot speak with their handsets or laptops so they use the text chat feature to respond to overhead questions.
