I HAVE A WEB ALERT set up for the term ictedu and today the notification says we're within 30 days of the annual ICT in Education Conference on the Thurles campus of the Technological University of the Shannon.
I help organise this annual event. We held it virtually last year and could hold it in 2020 due to COVID restrictions. Now it's back in full flow with its traditional soft touch of coffee chats, workshops, a panel discussion, and a selection of best work by students. Like a traditional conference, there will be a keynote speaker to kick off the day and a capstone at the end, wrapping up just before 4PM on Saturday, May 14, 2022.
If you've attended the day-long event before, you can book your space now.
For the past three years, we've taken our kids to the Maker Meet the night before. The hands-on experiments have become life-long memories for our 10yo son who won one of the rocket competitions in 2019.
If you want to get inside information about ictedu before seeing it on social media, consider subscribing to the ICT in Education blog.
