I LIKE THINGS BEST when they can be used in different ways because my life feels richer when I can repurpose things. It might be me, but I'm finding it very difficult to share stuff that lands on the house iPhone. I cannot send an image to another phone (like the three-year-old SonyEricsson P910i at left can do) by using Bluetooth. I cannot share a music file from the phone to one of my multimedia streaming SCART receivers. I cannot drag and drop music, photo or video files from the iPhone and onto my Prestigio Net Drive. Because I'm using the first generation iPhone, I cannot use any of my gold cables to jack the music into my car stereo or into my Edirol speakers. Maybe if I lived in a Mac-dominated world, things would just flow from the iPhone and into the Apple-supported ecosystem. But right now, it's really frustrating seeing how the Apple iPhone just locks digital things inside AND makes you install a 240 MB update nearly every month. All around, it's not a very social device for myself because I like to share my stuff from one part of the house to another and I like to back up my stuff without getting into a whole new information management strategy.
