TWO YEARS AGO, property supplements for regional areas often bulked up the Sunday papers in Ireland. Nowadays, it's the green supplements, like today's "Going Green" in the Sunday Times. I made a short Qik video about things in the supplement that caught my eye, including insulation [1], hot water cylinders [2], construction standards in Ireland [3], and smart lighting [4]. The image at right has nothing to do with any of these topics but I shoveled it onto this post because it reminds me to have a look at my Nokia E90 to ensure there's enough scratch space in its main memory to produce a 10-minute Qik clip. At the moment, it's failing in that task.
1. It's a fact that 60% of a building's heat is lost through walls and ceilings.
2. Joule Solutions caught our eye.
3. Constructing house in Ireland during the boom meant putting your trust
in a bunch of guys who arrive on site to do their bit as quickly as
possible and then meet up in the local pub.
4. "Turn on your Smart Light" pointed to C-Bus Smart Home Technology.
