WE JUST PASSED a major milestone in launching a Web Business for Business minor award in Tipperary Institute and along with filling at least half of our projected seats for the programme, I'm getting direct queries from potential students. This proves two things. First, we're relevant to the needs of the local community. Second, our phone system works better as a communications tool than it did in the past. As I tool up for this new venture, I'm reading over a questionnaire about creativity in higher education from NUI Galway. If you're involved in training adult learners, it's worth skimming over the survey to see if you'd like to make a comment.
The survey asks about essential outcomes connected to fostering creativity in a higher education curriculum. It solicits examples of teaching creativity and looks for opinions about the conditions one might expect in an environment where creativity is fostered. I've recorded a rambling 10-minute response that effectively captures the enthusiasm I have about creativity in higher education.
