AN AUDIO THREAD attached to a #febooary conversation about smart use of apps has led into a deep dive about enhancing workflow through the selective use of smartphone routines. For me, this suggest we are approaching hyperlocalised task-oriented notifications.
Hyperlocalised. This means your personal tech knows where you are (#context based on priority taskings in your life, time of day, and geolocation).
Task-oriented. Your personal tech should be able to direct you to priorities that you or collaborators set in smart calendars. You should also receive nudges if you drift off target.
Notifications. I have refined the notifications served up on my phone to ensure only priority notifications interrupt vetted calendar alerts. This means I have shuttered parts of my time from people who care about me more than I care about my personal tech.
I hope my interest in creating a smarter workflow might result in others joining this conversation. If that is you, please let @topgold know where you will connect with your thoughts. You could leave a link or pointer as a comment below.
